Actor Mohanlal has made his mark not only in the Malayalam film industry but in Tamil and Telugu film industries as well. While all his films that were out at the theaters were declared massive hits, he is looking forward to star in the most expensive film that is to be made in the history of Indian cinema. It is well known that Mohanlal will be playing Bhima in the upcoming 1000-crore project titled 'Mahabharatha' based on MT Vasudevan Nair’s 'Randamoozham' and will be directed by acclaimed director V. A. Shrikumar Menon and produced by BR Shetty.
The film is touted to be shot in two parts. Mohanlal has revealed that he will be taking a six-month break to prepare for the role, Bhiman, that he is to play in 'Mahabharata'. With mace fights and action sequences involved, the actor will be working on his physique to get best results.
While the film is taking shape with the pre-production going on, Mohanlal is busy playing the lead role in 'Velipadinte Pusthakam'. Interestingly, this is the first time he is collaborating with director Lal Jose, and this has set expectations high. Speaking about 'VP', Mohanlal said in an interview, “It begins in a college where I am the newly appointed vice-principal, Idiculla. After a point, the action shifts from the campus to Alappuzha where the students are working on a cinema and there is a shift in the mood of the movie too (smiles). A complete entertainer, the film has certain positive aspects to discuss too. It is always enjoyable to shoot on a campus. There is a certain magic and that enthusiasm while interacting with youngsters.”
