Film buffs in Sandalwood will never be able to forget the Rakshit Shetty's character as Richie in 'Ulidavaru Kandanthe'. The role was portrayed very well by Rakshit Shetty and it catapulted him to stardom. The good news for fans out there is that Rakshit Shetty will be seen once again as Richie in his upcoming film, which will not be a sequel to 'Ulidavaru Kandanthe'.
Interestingly, this film will be directed by debutant PA Rahul, who worked as an associate director in 'Ulidavaru Kandanthe'. The project will be bankrolled by Rakshit Shetty and Pushkar. According to sources, the film’s shooting will begin early next year, with plans to release it by mid 2019.
Meanwhile, Rakshit is busy with his upcoming period romantic comedy 'Avane Srimannarayana'. Starring Rakshit and Shanvi Srivastava in the lead, the cast will also include Achyuth Kumar and Balaji Manohar. While there were reports that 'Avane Srimannarayana' would go on the floors late last year, the team was busy with the groundwork that its commencement was postponed to March this year.
'Avane Srimannarayana' story is set in the 1980s in a fictional village. Charan Raj has been roped in to compose the music for the film with Karam Chawla signed up as the cinematographer while director Sachin will edit the film himself.
Produced jointly by HK Prakash, Rakshit Shetty and Pushkara Mallikarjunaiah under the banners Shree Devi Entertainers, Paramvah Studios and Pushkar Films, 'Avane Srimannarayana' is being made on a budget of Rs 30 crore.
